As part of a service’s commitment to quality improvement and the delivery of quality education and care programs, service providers are responsible for building and maintaining a skilled and engaged workforce. Professional development is the process used to develop knowledge and skills in identified areas and assists in keeping up to date with emerging research and best practice.

Woden Valley ELC sees the value in ongoing professional development that may be available to the educators in ACT. Our website aims to promote events offered by our Service, free of charge or that we see value in.

THE BRIDGES AND RIVERS

Building Bridges and Flowing Rivers engages the Early Childhood Education and Care Sector in collaborative critical reflection across many key topics. We openly and respectfully share our ideas and passions in robust discussions while learning from each other to provide all children in the ACT and surrounding Regions with connected and highly skilled Educators to ensure high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care. This is free Professional Development that occurs 3-4 times annually and is hosted by various Centres within our network. Please see below for past sessions, and we encourage you to join us at the next one.

GOVERNANCE TRAINING

We are opening our doors to our annual governance training for new and continuing board members to support like-minded community-based services. The training will discuss the conflict of interest, confidentiality, management required under the constitution, budgeting, etc.

Please note that this is not legal advice but an opportunity to connect and collaborate.
